The primary function of the hole saw connecting rod is to transmit the output power of power tools (such as electric drills, impact drills, or magnetic drills) to the hole saw, while also serving as a connector, positioning element, and stabilizer, making the hole-making process smoother and more controllable.

One end of the connecting rod connects to the drill chuck or interface, and the other end is fixed to the hole saw cutter head. This rigid connection ensures stable torque transmission, preventing slippage or eccentricity during high-speed rotation, thereby improving the roundness and accuracy of the hole.

The connecting rod usually also includes a positioning drill bit (guide drill), which positions and guides the hole saw before actual cutting, preventing it from "drifting" off-center on the metal or sheet metal surface. This guiding function is particularly crucial on thin plates or smooth materials, significantly improving construction efficiency and safety.

The connecting rod also plays a role in vibration damping and force distribution. Due to the significant resistance during hole sawing, a poor connection structure can easily damage the cutter head or overload the drill. Therefore, the connecting rod is not only a "connector" but also a vital component ensuring the stable operation of the hole saw.
